final vafc install

a couple of sunday's ago i finally got a chance to install a vafc that i managed to get my hands on. the installation requiring splicing into the ecu was a breeze. mounting the unit took more time than the install. anyways.. here's the final product.

and of course 'stealth mode'. know and have heard about too many people getting their vafc's jacked.

the vafc is longer...all he did was cut some of the plastic out to make it fit...but i still dont get the stealth mode...what you mean he just flips it around? that would be harder than to make a cover to go over it and hide behinde it so why do that?

He's simply cut the front off the ash tray and places it in front of the VAFC when he's parked up. Am I right?

Nice!

I'm currently trying to break open the VAFC to install behind the dash (next to the fuel/temp gauge) and extending the buttons to somewhere else... like the ash tray.

I'm going to start on this project during Christmas break.

yepp, you got it..

4th gen_type s: thats a nice install, but isnt it a pita to adjust the unit from the drivers seat?

charlie: heres a few more shots of the chopped ashtray that sits in front of the unit when i'm parked at an unfamiliar location.
