A few unknown differences in JDM vs USDM Preludes

1. I don't have to push the clutch in to start the car
2. Stupid sensor that trips a dash light that says my converter is too hot
3. I can hit Vtec without having to have the car warm up
4. My "drivers" side window has the on touch automatic down AND up function.
5. That VIN plate specifies all the numbers on the engine and tranny and chassis. Kinda like the corvettes do. Matching numbers prelude.

Ok discuss

the clutch thing sounds as if you all had the cluch depress sensor (technical name, hehe) unplugged. thats what it is there for, right on top of the clutch free play adjust screw assembly... it makes sure the car wont start unless the clutch is depressed...

if you unplug it it still wont start, you need to connect the two wires.

It's more of a dehumidifier, helps stop the windows from steaming up when it raining.

They're commonly known as 'puddle lights'. As it says, they light up the ground when you open the door at night so you can see if there's a puddle there and not step in it!

That's true.

That, too. Although I've never seen it light up. (Have you?)

That's odd. My '94 has this protection mechanism. I thought all Ludes did. Is yours a very early model year?

American doesn't get that? Poor you. Not that I ever use it: it's impossible to pull the drawer out a reasonable amount without it falling out completely! And then it's near impossible to get the darn thing in again.

It's just a filter. It's a motor that pulls air through a paper filter (pretty much like a tiny paper air filter) and through some foam into the boot.

Mine definitely isn't a dehumidifier. Maybe you have something different?

Cute! I always assumed they were a safety feature, so that oncoming traffic could see an open door before slamming into it.
