fender liner torn....now scraping like crazy :(

So here's the story:

I was making a right turn, and on the driver's side fender liner in the wheel well, the tires managed to scrape up hard enough to dig into the liner, and rip it off. i pulled over to the side of the road to check out the damage.

The entire liner came off, and the holes where the screws go were torn. Fortunately, some where intact and out of the 7 screws or so that holds the liner, only like 2 were there.

Solution: My dad helped me to re-install the liner, and we did it using zip ties. We got the liner to get as close to the metal as close as possible...but it still isn't the same. you can still see the gap between the plastic and the metal fender.

Problem: because the fender line on my drivers side sits lower than the passanger, everytime i make a right turn...slightly moderate to hard it rubs. it rubs over bumps and dips in the road.

will this ongoing rubbing increase the wear on my tire? i called a couple of junk yards...and no one had it. i asked a guy i know from Discount Tire Co, and he said he would check it out and he found a junkyard selling it for like $60. $60 for a piece of plastic is too expensive for me...

any ideas, comments, solutions are appreciated,

Thanks in advance

You could remove it, but make sure you shield the wires in the top of the fender well.

It looks like **** with no fender liner under there...hehe you can see your windshield washer bottle and all the stuff on the inside of the bumper.

KB798, the $75.05 does NOT include any hardware. I actually just bought a LH liner for $60 from Honda (25% discount cuz I work at a salvage yard ). But the plastic screws and washers are only like 30 cents a piece. So it's about $3 for all 8.

Yup, from the dealer. Lol, just tell them you work at a nearby auto salvage and you'll prolly get a discount. All I said was that I work at Blah company and he said "ah, you get a discount."

^^ Yeah, but then add a stupid "Handling" charge PLUS shipping. That'll bump it back up to $75.
