fast idle?? car will shut off

i have a problem with my car!!!!!!!!! =( im tired !!!!!!! Anyways, my car will turn off if no gas is being pumped to it...I had problems with the car idling really bad before so........ I adjusted the spring inside the fast idle valve and tighten back together.... Now the car doesnt idle it turns off it i dont give it gas.!!!!!! Could this be caused by overthighting the part inside the fast idle valve.?????

I didnt have any problems before like this on the car. It would idle bad really bad i mean i was embarred on red lights... But now itll shut off.. wtf.??? I dont have any codes on the car either...

And honestly i just want to fix this and sell the car.!!!!! =( anyone welcome to text me 520 461 7655.......

^ what he said.

Clean your Idle Air Control Valve IACV. Clean the screen and inside of it with carb or TB cleaner.

Clean your throttle body. Inspect cable and possibly adjust idle speed screw.

What you did to the FITV is fine, you are supposed to screw that piece in all the way. Did you clean that valve btw? If not, clean it.

when was your last tune up? wires? plugs? PCV? distributor cap and rotor?

there are many more reasons why you can be having this. You need to keep trying everything. When was the last time coolant was flushed and replaced? Air in cooling system screws up your idle also.

Search Google for cleaning techniques on the stuff I mentioned.

i believe so adjust it loose because if it too tight then its getting no air in the valve to fast idle thats probably y its stalling

but like what dan said it could be many other things or two problems going on at once

so i took if the fast idle and loosen it up a bit. Put it back together fired up the car and it turned of the same way..I thought it would stall a bit but nope!!! It took the same time to turn off

.......PUMPING GAS IS A MUST or it dies right away....Does anyone know how tight ur fast idle valve should be.?????
just to make sure..if you unscrew the inside of the fast idle valve the spring is really tight correct.?? i mean literaly if your not careful unscrewing it itll fly out far.....correct.??? or is it not suppose to be that tight??????? IF ANYONE TAKING IT OFF, UPLOAD A PIC OF HOW TIGHT THE SPRING LOOKS ON THE VALVE,,, AND THE WHITE PLASTIC (WITH METAL ROUND TIP)HOW FAR IT STICKS OUT...?????

picture here for hose mentioned.........its the box right on top of the battery.. its a black small box it has 2 hoses that go to it..... the second one away from left to right..... you can barely see where it attaches. the fist hose is ore visible......... can anyone tell me where it goes too.???
[IMG][/IMG]

WHAT DO I CHECK NEXT.???

oH BY THE WAY I UNPLUGGED THE IACV TO SEE IF IT WOULD MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE,,,,,,,,,NOthing.!!!!!! as well it died right away.. the car didnt stalled at all...same iacv or not it dies right away....

P.S DO I ADJUST THE IDLE SCREW? I ASK BECAUSE SOMETIME WHEN I STEP ON THE GAS PEDAL IT KINDA GETS STUCK, AFTER STEPPING A LITTLE HARDER YOU HEAR A CLICK AND THEN YOUR ABLE TO PRESS DOWN.???SOMETIME WHILE DIVING ON THE FREEWAY ON 5TH GEAR FOR WHILE AND I TAKE OFF THE FOOT OF THE PEDAL AND PUSH IT BACK IT CLICKS AGAIN.....YOUR ABLE TO HEAR IT ON THE MUFFLER TOO.......... SO IS THIS JUST THE IDLE SCREW.?????

THANKD GUYS

Im starting to think that aint the problem.... ummmmmmmmm Im gonna throw a bomb at the lude..!!!! =D
