You sure about that? There's one in the fuse block in the engine compartment. Are there 2? Because I'm trying to track down why mine doesn't work

I have check the manual... in the fusebox in the engine there is the fan relay... and the black box I said is the fan timer unit...

without that blackbox they wont start... so if they are working the relay must be good and probaby that box is probably getting damaged...

or maybe a thermostat is getting bad...which I will say that it could be the cause

I'm not a mechanic, I just look the wiring diagram...
the thermostat get's hot, send the signal (ground) to that black box and the black box activates (+12V) the relay and then the fans go on...

after i did my motor swap i had a problem with my fans too. they run normal, but everytime that i shut my car off the fan stay on for 5 mins afterwards. even if i let my car sit over night and i put the car to on without starting it and then take the key out the fan turn on. i never knew what the problem was, and i didnt really care cause they worked properly when i needed them too. but if there is a solution to this i would love to hear it

The thermostat doesn't control the fans. The fan temp switches do and fan control module. The fan control module is next to the ecu. The fan relay is in the fuse box under the hood. I don't have the wiring diagram handy but you can check to see if the system is running by jumping ports in the fuse box where the relay goes.

there are two temp switches...

when they are activated (when engine is hot) they connect to ground...
try to check them... with the car cool... with a multi tester or 12v lamp tester... connet to the battery and chek the temp switches...

if they are good then the problem is in the fan timer unit... the one next to the ecu
