Fan

One of my fans is hitting a metal bracket and it's making this awful noise...kinda like how kids put playing cards on their bikes to make that weird slapping noise. It has never done this before and I haven't changed my radiator in a while. I recently just fixed my clutch at the shop but i don't nkow how it has anything to do with this. Any suggestions? It's the right fan, right next to the battery and intake.

ah yes. i don't nearly have quite that problem but my bearing is shot on the a/c fan. so that means i overheat whenever i use the a/c at idle.

marcucci (one of the most knowledgable ppl on here) diagnoised it in like 3 seconds. he just felt my fan and it wobbled. basically your fan is shot.

either go to the junkyard and find another one. or buy a new set. maybe even look into upgrading the radiator (although marcucci says the OEM is very large and works really well in most conditions)

i would just try to find another set and just swap it in. its really easy. btw the shop could have bent the fan while working on your car, seeing as they were around that area. but i doubt it, you would have noticed right off the bat.

anyways, they won't take liability so just find another fan

Thanks for the quick reply. I think you're right because it only scraps the frame bracket when the fan first starts up or while shutting down. I can't really hear any noise while the fan is going. I plan on going to Marcucci Motorsports anyways so I'll ask him about it then. Still waiting on the damn struts to come in though.
