familiar with behind the dash???

ok, this is strange. my car has cold a/c, it blows cold air out of every vent but one, the passenger side door vent. the air comes out strong, but its not cold at all, ive looked underneath the dash but i don't visibly see anything wrong. as anybody else experienced this problem before, or may know what is causing it?

There is only one vent tube running to the passenger door, it is literally pressed up against the inside of your dash in front of your passenger airbag if you have one. Look under the dash and you should be able to see it. Make sure it's connected on both ends and that you have no blockage at all, then check the tube on the inside of your door panel.

if all is clear then you got a problem with the main unit

ive looked all underneath the dash and all the tubes appear to be hooked up properly. the air coming out of the vent has a strong force, its just not cold when you say something with the main unit, what possibly could be wrong? thanks for the replies.

geez, are all honda mechanics morons or is just the ones locally around here? i called and explained my problem to one of the techs there and he started telling me that 'its impossible', when at that very moment im sitting in my car experiencing the problem. he also said that all the vents channel through one duct from the evaporator theres obviously something that he doesn't know. i dont know where to begin with this problem, i don't plan on taking it to my local honda shop. any suggestions??

mmm, im thinking.. where is the mixing vent for the heater?

if its on the passenger side, it could be that there is warm air from the heat exchanger that is being routed to the passenger side.

how about u try move the temperature lever several times from left to right and back?

tried that, with no luck. i'm thinking that it is something along the lines of a valve not opening or shutting properly, but then what would cause just that one side of that car to not get cold air? has anybody ever taken out their a/c unit in the cabin of the car? is it a complicated process?
