This might be a dumb question but will a 1992 factory spoiler fit and 1994? is there any difference in the 2 spoilers? how much for installation? is it easy to do? etc.. thanks
It will fit but I think it will make your car illegal. As the other guy said, the 92 spoiler doesn't have a led light in it so the 92-93 had a brake light on the top of their windshield. The 94-96 had a brake light in the spoiler and therefore (I think, but you can look at your own) don't have a brake light in the windshied. Therefore, if you did this you would have no third brake light, which technically would be illegal.
I'm not understanding this whole illegal thing. As long as your taillights are working, you're fine. There's many old cars, and even some newer that don't have a third brakelight.
EVery car must have a third brake light... well from the 90 and up model cars... i guess the third brake light helps to know if it's really breaking or just on fogs for dumb people that can't drive

Cool! Where'd you read that? I like learning about stuff I didn't know. Guess I'm a nerd!
unless for sum odd reason ur swapping sumone a 92 spoiler for a 94 spoiler which is already on ur car then putting a wing on the car should have no affect on the legality of the breaklights. if ur car is wingless from the factory, its not like the installation of a spoiler is going to "erase" a light or sumthing.
as far as installation i wouldnt pay to have it done. i have done 3 myself and it took proly 15 minutes. lift ur trunk and look at where u think the spolier bolts appear they should be and u will find 2 premarked areas for holes on each side.... drill them out and screw the wing on

Ya, once any new safety feature is mandated, every car built after that has to comply and you cannot "undo" it. If that weren't true, it's like saying I could take my seatbelts out because they didn't have seatbelts in the 1930's.
As for my original post, I guess that was pretty dumb to assume he was swapping out an old spoiler for a new one, although it's possible if you scratched it up or something. My bad!
Probably a lot more likely he's just putting it on for the first time. There I go again, trying to sound like I know something and I end up eating my foot!
