Factory/OEM Seat compatibility

So it would appear that I am having trouble finding me a set of cloth seats. Now I am wondering if there are seats from other cars that would fit in our 4th gens. I was told that 5th gen seats don't fit. Does anyone know which seats WILL fit the 4th gen?

if you can weld, you can make just about any seat fit by modifying it's bracket..

i don't know of any other seats fitting

but you could always ask wedge or so. email them and see if there are any other seats that the bracket fits with.

my guess is maybe the accord, civic possibly could fit. but i doubt it.

That is an option if you are very good at welding, the welds would have to be strong enough to withstand the forces if a car crashes, imagine what would happen if the seat breaks loose and stumbles around. A friend of mine had "luck" with some sparco seats he custom welded into his civic hatch, when he turned into a tight corner, left side snaped off the brackets and the seat collapsed, now he doesn't have sparcos under his bottom any more.

My friend has also front+back seats for sale, from 96 Si, like brand new and very cheap. They are located in europe, more info on PM.

well you hafta do a stress test on the weld. once you weld it all up, take a 5lb hammer and beat the living **** out of it! if it doesn't break apart, then your weld is good... if your in a head on crash you aren't going to go forward or to your right because of the seatbelt.. the door will keep you from going too far left. more less, if your seat snaps back.. then you are probably rolling the car down the road. if that's the case, you have more problems than the seat brackets breaking..
