the installation instructions on hondaautomotiveparts.com dont explain what each wire in the subharness does and what the pin setup on the relay is... my Helm's lists the location of the fog light associated harnesses but doesn't show any schematics for the wiring.
does anyone have schematics?
it'll make everything easier cuz i won't be using the Honda subharness, relay, or fog light switch. so without it, i'll be spending some quality time with a voltmeter trying to figure out what each wire does and where it goes.
You don't need the subharness. You can plug the relay directly in the main harness. You should be able to use any 12v 4-post relay with the fog system. Sorry, no schematics though...
I should have pics hopefully tomorrow of all the parts I used if it all works. My only draw back now is getting the 5G switch to work with the 4G plug.

hmm... i might as well buy the relay from them to try to keep everything as plug and play as possible... only problem after would be digging up the switch harness from wherever the heck its hidden
dont forget the pics mr. clifford
i think i'll run out to the dealer one of these days and try to get the electrical side of things working so i'll save time on installation day...

I got free fog covers
I want that factory relay. I don't like loose wires.
here's what i posted a few months ago when i had my fogs running with my 94 console and fog switch swapped in:
-
for the brown 4-wire connector under the dash (relay connector), you can either hook up the relay harness that comes with the fogs, or if you don't have that (which I didn't) you can try to find a honda relay at the junk yard that will fit into the socket. luckily I was able to use a relay from an acura cl that I got some parts off of, but I figured out what each wire was for just in case:
BLU/RED = connects to switch in relay
RED/GRN = connects to switch in relay
RED/YEL (2 of em) = connects to coil in relay
if you have to use a generic relay you could use those wire colors to hook it up.
as for the green switch connector behind the tweeter (you'll have to dig to find it), I tapped into the wires and ran extensions down to my switch on the console. I didn't have a connector for the 94 switch socket so I used a floppy drive power plug from my old computer's power supply (the smaller of the 2 types). the wire colors on it were [YEL,BLK,BLK,RED]. since there were only 3 wires that needed to be hooked up I snipped off the black wire closest to the yellow one so it ended up being [YEL,(cut),BLK,RED]. then I connected the following wires from the green connector behind the tweeter:
RED/GRN -> RED on floppy harness (+12v for illumination on switch)
BLK -> YEL on floppy harness (illumination ground, switch ground)
RED/YEL -> BLK on floppy harness (+12v for switch)
-
now that i have the tweeter switch in my car, i've realized that the extra wires in the green fog connector behind the tweeter are for the backliights in the switch.
Have you tried the FAQ's? There is a manual in there for 4th gens that has the wiring diagrams in it. The manual is for the 92-93 models though. good luck

I have been reading that for a couple of days. It was very helpful. Amazing how much faster the bumper goes on as opposed to coming off.
I'm stuck with what to do on my 5G switch. I think I have it figured out. I will find out hopefully tomorrow. I ran out of light today.
here's th diagram for the 5th gen switch.. clifford is trying to get this to work with the 4g harness..
i can't figure out what the wires on the 4g harness do.. BUT, if any of you have a picture of the actual CIRCUIT BOARD of the 4g SWITCH, post it up, and i'll be able to figure out what wires do what.

did you read the rest of this thread? I just posted what each wire does. for a 93 lude, he has the green 6-wire connector.
RED/GRN -> +12v for illumination on switch
BLK -> illumination ground, switch ground
RED/YEL -> +12v for switch
it doesn't get any simpler than that. the other 3 wires are probably for the backlight in the tweeter switch. but to hook up any switch, all you need are those 3 wires.
also, i just looked through the helms and the orange wire on the tweeter switch connector is for the backlight dimmer. there's no single diagram in the helms for the foglight circuit, you have to piece it together from several different diagrams. they're all in the last section which is electrical.
oops.. i didn't see the post.. ok then i dunno why clifford asked for my help then =-P
