factory fog lights...

I have these factory fog lights. They came with my car (1992 prelude si 4ws). My friend also has em on his 1994 4WS lude. They came with both our cars. Someone told me their were not standard on any preludes, and cost like $400 new or something. They also said USDM and JDM fog lights are worth like 100-200$.

Whats the deal with them?

Also, if they do cost $200 that is absurd. Am i the only one seeing the whole JDM thing going too far? The fog lights look good, but they are barely noticable and just fog lights. If I take my Prelude floormat on it, and call it JDM will it become highly desired? I mean $2000 for a mugen header and exhaust... Sure they are nice, but that is 2/3 of a basic turbo kit - [rhetorically] which will give better gains? Hopefully you guys see where I am going with this. Another example is the TypeS intake. An AEM cai will cost the same amount and yield better gains - who cares if the TypeS intake is 'J-Spec'. What am I not seeing here?

i dunno man. i think it is just as absurd. i could get PIAAs which shine brighter and all for half the price. i think the OEM are $250-$300 like you said.

but nonetheless, i want them. i just dont want to spend $250 on them. sell me yours. =P

The OEM fogs cost a lot because they look perfect on the front of the car. . .they blend in soooo nicely. And actually, the JDM floor mats are ugly as sin. . .lepeord print!

The foglights i ordered for my car are the OEM ones and they made a HUGE difference in my lighting(clean your lenses or something), they look like they belong the way they should, PIAA foglights are ugly as sin and they're not brighter by any means. It's all a scam. Just like their expensive replacement HID lookalike bulbs that they claim are brighter but in fact make your lighting worse. Especially in the rain. But, i'm going to have to agree on the Mugen parts, that's just obsurd....

True, but they fit perfectly, don't slip and the carpet underneath is still like new!!

But they could've made them black or something....

Its not that clear, but heres the best frontal picture I have. The image is kinda big, but I wanted to make it as close up as possible.

Oh and if you'll give me $250 I will sell you the fog lights

Now I see why the Prelude is not that popular in Japan...
