yes, and no.

If you are looking for replacement parts, for the most part they are the same as the h23. the internals are slightly different. the timing belt is slightly shorter than a h23a.

are you asking about anything in particular? for all practical purposes, but parts as if it was a h23a1

that is correct. I've had my F22B DOHC for 4 yrs now and I screwed up a few times buying parts. Just remember, you have an f22 block. The head gasket is F22, the oil pump is F22. I've heard that an Integra GSR timing belt works but never used one. Your valve cover gasket, obviously H23. Dizzy H23. Its a good motor if you take care of her. I'm currently building my JDM H22.

I read a lot about F22B (DOHC) timing belts not being available but they are.

I have just changed mine and had no problem getting hold of it. I also got the balancer belt, tensioners, water pump. I am in UK but the parts are definately easy to get hold of. For the two belts, two tensioners and water pump i paid £193 (approx $320 - sounds alot in dollars )

Water pump was most expensive (found cheaper since too)

Place on ebay (USA) also sells a full F22B gasket set for about $160.

Hope that helps

Chris

I would not recommend ebay to get parts. For a water pump, tbelt I would recommend a good name brand belt of a OEM Honda. How much did you pay for your F22B belt? From what I read, if you use the H23A1 water pump, you can use a H23A1 tbelt with no problems. The Integra GS-R belt also supposedly works. check out cb7tuner for info on the F22B

The timing belt, water pump and other stuff i bought were from a large auto dealer here in the UK. The part was a BluePrint part .. not sure if you know them.

I don't mean buy everything off ebay, just generally pointing out the parts are available (had some good stuff off ebay though!).

My timing belt on its own was £29 ($46.5 approx) from a company called Autofactors here in UK and probably also get from UniPart (here in UK too)

I suppose it's what's available to you!

very interesting - F22B specific parts aren't readily available here

I have had some good stuff from ebay too. I would rather spend a little more on my timing belt and get a well known good brand - that's just me though.

Well i had to use a slightly bigger non standard alternator belt and power steering pump belt as they were not available but obviously you can adjust the slack up and it was only out a couple of mm.

I always think the opposite. USA have all the best shops, online stores etc.

You have Auto Parts Fast at RockAuto which i think is pretty impressive but no F22B parts just H23 and delivery to UK is sky high!

For those of you with F22B DOHC motors. If you are having timing belt issues on which one to get. Go to your local parts store, order a timing belt for a 1988 Dodge Caravan 2.5L engine. This belt fits PERFECT on your motor. I just put one on today after much searching and it works!
