F22 Tranny on H22????

So here's a questions for you guys. I recently spoke with a local tuner shop that wants to mate an H22 to my F22 Tranny. I thought this was strange considering that I've never heard of it being done before. Mind you, I like my transmission, I love having that really long 3rd gear where I get most of my acceleration from..but is this really optimal with an H22? I personally wanted an H23 tranny because I hear they have a lot of torque and great acceleration through 3rd, although 5th leaves something to be desired. Let me know what you guys think. Has anybody done it. I tried searching for this but I couldn't find anything that answered the question specifically.

Are you asking can it be done, or is it worthwhile?

It is possible, yes. Worthwhile, not sure. Compare the F22 ratios against the H22, that will tell you.

i guess its worthwhile if you're going for overall speed.... although you do lose a bit of acceleration...

I did however have a friend that used his H22 tranny with LSD on his turbo F22... and that thing hauled ass...

coming from the accord walk of life to prelude, I can say "yes" an f22 tranny mated to an h22 block combo. works w/out any issues. In fact, some of the 4g 90-93 accords (cb7's) prefer it over the stock h22 m2a4 / m2y4 trannys (esp. when going turbo) - the longer gearing seems to work better for their driveshafts/axles.

feel free to look it up on other forums if it helps.
