F 4g's v.3.0 - Charging System

Since when does the charging light not come on?

And I love how EL guages react to low voltages

anyways, any ideas why my charging light wont come on when the voltage out of the alternator is .3v????

Light comes on at startup. Just want to make sure it's nothing more than the alt.

Well FYI, if your voltage regulator is welding into one piece... your battery light wont come on.

moonster - might be a bad alt connection. that green 4-pin plug on the alt.

spray wd-40 to clean it out. spray de (di-electric grease) on the connector and plug it in.

The charging light is useless. Clean out the contacts and pinch the pins on the plug a bit so they can grab better. My plug kept coming slightly loose causing the alternator not to charge until I did that fix
