this is the 2nd time i got pulled over....for the exhaust...
i have a silencer that came with the megan axle back on my car but i'm not sure how to put it on. could anyone help me out here?
There should be a screw and a nut that came along with the silencer. Just go back there and place it in the muffler and tighten the nut and screw. Its very simple, there is a little hole that the screw and muffler should go in so it shouldn't be difficult at all. Make sure you screw it on tight because with the rumbling of your exhaust, it could undo the screw and shot out the silencer. That is wha thappened to mines because I decied hand tighting was enough, now I'm looking around for another silencer.
What I mean is that it comes with a bolt and a 10mm nut. On both the silencer and muffler is a hole where you can align the silencer and the muffler. Stick the bolt through and use th 10mm nut and screw it on. Make sure you tighten it down with a wrench or rachet, test it a few times because just leaving it in there since exhaust rumble could undo the nut and bolt and shot out the silencer.
now i'm not feeling very well taking my lude out at night....coz for some reason cops are always around whereever i go. i feel like they're following me...
i'm gonna try the silencer...i'm not sure if it can do much...if it doesn't, i'm sure i have to start looking for a quieter catback....
My 01 prelude was in a wreck and it had a megan exhaust on it so i have the silencer from my car because the exhaust was totaled. PM me if your intrested.
yeah....when i put my silencer on i lose all top end power but gain quite a bit of low-end torque....anyone have a stock muffler they would like to sell?
cops stare me down with my exhaust all the time. as long as i do the right thing they leave me alone (most of the time, except for BS tickets here and there). if they havent said anything i wouldnt worry about it being loud.
