Exhaust and Ignition Controller combination

I am going to start the mods on my prelude. Everything is stock right now. The vehicle is a 93' Vtec dohc prelude 2.2L. I am currently looking into the exhaust system and an ignition controller. I would like to upgrade to 3 inch but I am concerned about passing smog in California. I know that an ignition controller can help with emissions and performance. Can someone suggest a good combination for this vehicle?

Unless you are going turbo with the car, i would not run a 3 inch exhaust. Stick to a 2.25". You will loose power with the larger exhaust.

Also, the stock ignition system is a great system. No need to really upgrade unless you are spraying nitrous or running forced induction.

Just replace the spark plug wires with some msd's/ngk wires, and some new plugs and it should be just fine.
