Exchange body parts?

I bought a 96 Prelude a few months back
seems like i been spending ever dime fixing what that previous owner half ass jobs'
well i think i have finally have everything running and now comes the body part, where my question are.

from police records i have found this car was envloved in a persuit, haha!
and well,to say the least lost.
the back passanger side of the car has been bondo''d pretty bad.
i really dont like to send my car to shops, and scared this might be an instance for it buuut, wanna check to see if able to fix myself before leading to that.
but i was wondering, with limited tools, would i able able to fix a horendous bondo job with bondo? i mean i'm sure i could make it look semi new, just dont want car made outta bondo =D
but like i said with limited tools, would i be able to take a back passanger side of a same gen prelude and put on mine?
is there alot of welding? bolting? any idear?
thanks much in advance,i will try to post pictures asap

Yeah, post some pics.

I am kind of in the same position as you....kind of. lol

My car needs some work and I am at a crossroad. Do I fix the issues as they come up...or do I bite the bullet and just go all out and fix everything....the right way now? I decided to do it all the right way.

The questions you have to ask yourself are:
-Do you plan to keep the car for a long time?
-Is the rest of the car in good enough shape to justify the commitment of the effort and the money?

What I would do is make a list of all the things wrong with it. Then try to get the best estimate of how much it will cost to fix everything. Post the info if you can.

dude that is some complex body work youre talking bout... the person who owned it before you didnt half ass it, they did it to the best of their ability, it was probably their first attempt just like it ll be yours, and after you try to fix it you wont be happy.

im not talking mess, im just telling you how it is, trust me i went through the same thing.
it ended up costing more to remove all the old body work to get to the bare surface.
bondo is NOT your friend. its a cheap bastard that makes you look bad.

even people who go to bodyshop school and some who do it professionally cant get the proportions and complex curves right, not to mention the waves.

not necessarily talking about the bonod job half ass =D
just alot of the parts under the hood where jerry rigged together, for example:
the radio was set to a switch, raditor fan was melted to the fram,=(

yeah, kinda what i figured when i stepped into that part, scared to death to mess with bondo for exact reason i might make it look worse lol,ad i hear bondo doesnt stay for long =(
