estimated time

ok i know this has been gona over before but i just gotta ask again. I ran my 93 si when it was almost stock, all it had was an intake and i ran a 16.4 (within the first week of knowing how to drive a manual trans) I want to know what i will run now as the tracks are closed until spring here in cincinnati. MY mods are:
head port/polish with new valves and slightly higher comp.
cold air intake
apexi n1 exhaust
hi-flow cat.
aem alt and power str. pulleys
top fuel crank shaft pulley
removed a/c
9mm wires
aem cam gears (still stock setting)
coolant bypass
flapper mod
SOON TO BE
dc 421 cc header
port/polished intake manifold
what do you guys think will be estimated 1/4 time now. im guessing low 15 or hopefully high 14. What more will it take besides FI to get into a mid-14? thanks.

it all depends on the driver, but with a decent drive i would say low-mid 15's...doubt you'll hit 14's.

I second that mid 15's but if you drove like you did your first time, I would say high 15's.

damn all that and only 15s....if he was running a JDM H22 you think low/mid 14s would be accurate with the same mods done to that?

if you can drive you should be in the 14's

with i/h/e/pulleys/ignition on my old h23 i ran a 15.09@92mph

if you have all that done, you better be able to run faster than what i did!

with a jdm h22 i'd say high 14's possibly hitting mid 14's if you can drive

high to mid 14s with those mods on a JDM h22? im running less mods than that...in a 3000lb car, and im pulling 14.1 @ 99.77...if your running high 14s with a JDM h22 with those mods you need to learn how to drive...ive also hit 100mph traps...on street tires..peace

Its a 1993 Prelude Si...full interior...so...again..if your getting low 15s or high 14s in a JDM swapped lude with those mods, you need to set aside some time and learn to drive your car

15.3-15.4 range, and i would suggest that you undo the flapper valve mod i found that i ran better with it the way honda has it set up.

edit: I didnt notice the headwork when i first read through so i change my thought to 15.0-15.1 range

Learn to drive the car, then with those mods, you should easily be in the 14's. I honestly don't see how these guys think you'll only be in mid-15 range. Nah, you should be way faster. Let me ask you something, how did you launch when you ran the 16.4? Also, what'd you shift at?

Its been about a year since i ran it in the 1/4. I know how to drive it much better as i am a fast learner through racing moto-x and go carts over the years. Im hoping for a 15 flat come spring time when my intake manifold is finished and my header is on there. what else can i do to my car to get into the high 14's. I have almost every bolt on and then some. I do not want to go NOS or turbo and no vtec head swap from what i hear it is a pain and not worth the $$$. I also have the trunk gutted and runnin 215-50 pirellis on stock si rims. I think next thing will be clutch and flywheel but then where do i go?

I'd love to see the scans of your timeslips and your mod list.

my timeslips are on this site somewhere, i dont have them on my comp, and i dont have a scanner, but ALOT of people have seen my slips, as well as seen my car run in person..my mods are Accord 2.5" aem cai, greddy header, apexi N1 exhaust, skunk2 cam gears, vafc, p28 ecu..GSR program...all runs made with full interior...stock rims, street radials, i usedto have drag radials but they were used and didnt help at all, ran the same 60 fts i do now...heres a slip thats sitting on my desk...last time at the track ill type it out:

RT.... .602
60' .... 2.238
330'....6.091
1/8 .....9.219
mph 78.77
1000...11.902
1/4...14.172
mph 99.29....

my car usually traps in the 99s, sometimes it dips to some high 98s..and ive hit 100 once...my ET usually range between 14.1 to 14.3 at worst...i even took my girlfriend who weighs 105lbs with me on one run and ran a 14.2 @ 98...so there ya have it, and feel free to ask Euforik, or 4thgen vtec...i think cantdrive has sen my slips as well..peace

wow, those are some great times. I think that's the fastest time I've ever seen for a n/a h22 with no major headwork or internal work.

I want to go FI and I hope to get time in the high 13's. It's no fair that you get there with you freak jdm h22. Good work PreludeRacer023.

If you can pull a 2.2x60ft with your mods, you should be able to break 15.

Yeah, the "short time" will come in to play now. When you get that clutch, I think you'll see much better times.

i am hoping i will notice a big difference when i get my header on and put on a test-pipe cat. think i will or no? 7-8hp at wheels i think i should be able to feel especially since my stock flexpipe is leaking

Yeah, you'll have a better Trap speed for sure once you get a header. But the biggest problem you need to work on is your 60' time.

ok i got the header on and noticed a little more power but not much. does sound much better though I was thinking of what other mods i can do for power and came up with the following:
cams but i have heard bad things about regrinds
ECU upgrade but have heard its not worth it unless i have FI
SAFC which i am considering but would like some more input
I also want to get my car tuned and get my cam gears and ignition timing set. also, I set my odometer and in exactly 1/4 (according to my odometer) i get up to 98mph running 97 octane and gutted trunk. can someone please give me another rough estimate, thansk
