Erratic Idling

Okay i've noticed a few of these posts going up and i'm guessing b/c it's getting hotter outside. my car idles funny. not all the time but only on occasions. especially if i've been driving fast on the freeway (like most mornings i am late to work). when i get off the ramp usually the idle seems like it sticks and fluctuates between 900 and probably 1500 rpms. it makes the noise out of my stereo like if i had a bad ground. and i can stop this by tapping the accelerator. also when i have my clutch in, my car seems to idle rougher sometimes dropping to around 300 rpms. does anyone have an idea? thx in advance.

Try cleaning your throttle, that helped for me.

mine use to idle like that, I had to replace the fast idler valve. the valve was stuck open. there is a hole inside of the throttle body on the bottom, try plugging that. if the idle quits bouncing that's probably the problem. it would normally only do it when my car was still cold.
