Engine Year

Hi, I have a jdm engine and would like to buy a manual for it and I was wondering if there is any way to tell the year of the engine from the serial number or some other way....thanks

To figure the year of your engine, simply look on the front of the head above the flange for the exhaust manifold. there will be a series of stamps. in one the of the stamps you will see what looks like a fractional number. The top number is the month, and lower number is the year. for example: 9/93 would be sept 93. pretty easy. It is located inside of circle.
