I have a problem with my 1992 Honda Prelude 2.0i. The engine turns but it won’t start.
I replaced the battery as it was dead and then started up the engine and it started fine, first time. I did not take the car for a drive then.
The next day I tried to start the car and it would not start and whilst trying to start it I heard a loud bang/pop noise from the engine area??? (what could this have been?). Tried many times since then but all that happens is that the engine turns but won’t start.
For the past 9-12 months, it sometimes took a 2nd attempt to start the engine in the mornings, but it ALWAYS started.
It’s a very low mileage car for its age, 85,000 miles.
What could be causing the problem? And what do I need to do to get the car working again?
