i was wondering how much it would cost and what i need to swap in a h22 or an h23 in my 92 prelude s automatic, and if i have to swap out my tranny as well
1) I assume it's a 'S' model with the F22A1, correct?
2) Why do you need to swap it?
3) You can swap to a manual transmission, its time consuming and expensive, but can be done.
Cost me $1400 for engine, new head gasket, cover seals, fuel filter, timingbelt, plugs, dizzy, wires, cherry picker, o2 sensor, tps sensor, new wts sensor, vtec solonoid, clutch and other ****... Plus lots of time putting it in and getting it to run perfect.. btw i dont recommend diy(pain in the ass even if you know what your doing), just pay a shop 4-6k to do h22 engine swap, you can use the auto tranny i think. i know the manual tranny is reusable... just my $.02
btw UTFSE
i am paying a shop to do it so if it facks up its on their ass, but i want to keep it an automatic i am tired of owning sticks (i have a 71 302 boss mav and a 79 camaro all sticks) but i want to switch cause i found a big oil leak after buying it and it has 195,000 miles on the engine
