it feels like my 93 vtec isn't getting enough gas. there is hesitation in low rpms. sometimes you can floor it and the car just putts along as if your barely accelerating. its as if its not getting enough gas. besides the occasional hesitation/misfire the car runs great.it misfires in idle also.
Also, making multiple threads concerning the same problem isn't a good way to get answers. If one thread didn't work, chances are a smiliar thread in the same place wont work either.

no its not throwing codes. and i didn't realize i've done it more than once. in my other ones there were a couple differences? i apologize for inconvenience.

Check the o2 sensor, ECU, and fuel pump.
Theres no inconvienience, the threads are too similar to justify making a second one, but its not an issue, I would just advise you not to do it

No, she did double post 2000h22a. she just might get some help in this one instead of getting flamed. she is actually using complete sentences and writing and spelling correctly in this thread too. now before tee comes in and starts in and i join in im gonna try to throw out some help.
Fuel pump.
Fuel Filter
Air filter
O2 Sensor
Possibly the ecu
there are other possibilities. maybe you should SEARCH a little before asking questions. or is it the lack of brain functions due to the pregnancy?

wow...
You criticize tee for flaming her, then basically do the same with your pregnancy remark?
Thats not hypocritical at all...

i didnt criticize tee. i just simply said that before tee comes in and i join in on the fun i would throw out some suggestions. and by the pregnancy remark. my girlfriend is about 37 weeks pregnant and due by c-section on september 2nd. i know how the brain of a pregnant woman works. always forgetting things and not thinking before doing something. so before you start flamming me i was just stating a true pregnancy fact.

well i got a new fuel filter, just got an intake, and an 02 sensor so i know it's not those 3 things. the ecu is not flashing codes but the check engine light and what not does work. and i searched all over the internet for the problem with my car and couldn't find the answer that's why i asked on here, thank you. and g loc some one else told me the map sensor but what does the tps sensor do?
Its basically just a potentiometer that tracks the position of the throttle and feeds this information to the ECU so it can adjust the fuel mix for the given throttle position. Over time it wears out and the voltage reading is incorrect for the current throttle position. It might read way too high at a certain position, way too low, or nothing at all. Need to measure it at WOT, closed throttle, and by slowly opening the throttle to make sure it works through the entire range of motion (car off for all these tests). If the TPS is screwed onto your throttle body (if it was ever replaced or if using a JDM throttle body), it may have loosened up and needs to be adjusted. There's a thread on how to test it
i appreciaite it =]] and how do i check the ecu and fuel pump?
easiest way on an ecu is to swap it with one you know works, fuel pump is a little more difficult because this sounds like its only a random problem, I would focus on the ecu as it is the easiest to check. TPS should be checked as well, as G_Loc said, and I would also check the main relay, this doesn't sound like a main relay problem, but stranger things have happened.

Ok my prelude does something similar to yours. At times during low RPM it would seem like it doesn't have any power or hesitation of power. When it hits a certain RPM rang something like 2.5-3K and then it gets right back up. I've been searching for the issue too and I've come by what is known as the 3K hesitation cause by the EGR. Here is the link No more 3k hesitation, Better Gas Milage, Smoother partial thottle response. - Honda-Tech. Once I get some time I'm going to try it, but right now I'm in the middle of a move and my other car a 90 Celica Turbo All-Trac is currently having heating issues. If you do try it let us know.
