It still has the speed limiter in the ECU. All Japanese cars are restricted to 180 kph or 112 mph to us. My car had it when I got it and I had a shop fit an HKS Speed Limit Defencer. This is fitted to the ECU and overrides this problem. This is done from within the ECU but HKS have managed to produce a small module that connects externally into the original ECU wires, making installation relatively straightfoward, enabling the vehicle to reach it's original top speed.

Also, I believe, the Apexi VAFC has the ability to overcome this problem, but I'm not 100% on that. I haven't got a VAFC so this was the next best option.

Like I said, the Apexi VAFC is a possibility, but I'm not sure. There may be other ways but I wanted it done properly.
