Engine noises

What makes my car engine sound like a truck desiel engine? It's old and has 150k. What do I need to do to make it quiet?

Yeah, I was hoping some magic fluid to shut it up. I guess it's just about to die..

The valvetrain's on H series engine are notoriously noisey. My H23 stills clicks even after having my valves perfectly adjusted. It could be something else though... I would have it checked out by a mechanic

And have you noticed that it's not really as noticable when your car warms up? That's how my bf's are. They'll tick, but when his car's fully warmed up, it just goes away.
