Engine leaking coolant!!

I began to notice a few nights when I came home to park my car that my radiator fan was still running when I shut the engine off. I knew it hadn't ever ran after shutting off the engine so a few days later I decided to look under the car and sure enough...there was coolant dripping down. I caught it just in time cuz on my way home from work that night my engine went into the red zone on my engine temp guage. I got home and filled up the old radiator (it was pretty much gone) and I jacked up the old lude and noticed coolant dripping from a small hole. Here are a few pics:

I think that hole is right under the water pump but I am not sure. The hole is right above the drivers side outer CV joint. There is a black coolant pipe running into the block as u can see in that second picture. Can someone please tell me what the problem is!

Thank you.

Looks like your water pump housing is leaking. Is it coming from the hole or elsewhere? If its coming from the little hole it means your waterpump needs replacing. If its coming from the housing you will at least need to pull the pump and reseal it. That will mean removing the timing belt.

PITA

It's coming from the little hole. I called Honda and they said I will need to replace my water pump. Anyone know where I can get one for cheap!?

I gotta pay $86.06 for a brand new water pump from Honda??? And I might as well replace the timing belt as well...isn't that another $40? Is replacing these two things easy to do? I just don't want to somehow mess up the timing.

Mine did that the other day. The radiator fan started coming on, then ALL the coolant drained out onto the street a few days later. I had it at my mechanics and they couldn't figure out what was wrong so they just flushed and filled the radiator and checked out the hoses and it hasn't acted up since.

Anyone wanna sell me a water pump for an H22? I really don't feel like paying $90 for a brand new one! Thanks!

dude you don't have to get a honda water pump, just get an oem replacement. you can get them online for ~$50 or from a local parts store for less than $90.

there's always ebay:
