Ok... a REAL brand new one or a remanufactured unit that looks brand new? Probably remanufactured. Since you paid someone to do it, might as well take it back and get a (hopefully) free starter
whats the starter doing? any noise coming from it when you turn the key? do you still have the old starter?
and dont pay someone to install a starter... its right in front, only a couple bolts, takes about 5 mins if you include the time it takes to chug a victory beer afterwards.

the starter clicks and thats it
Its not on the bottom of the engine, its up front on the tranny and very easy to replace. Why would they give you a remanufactured one? Its much cheaper than a brand new one, if they're even available.
sounds like you got a poop starter... unless you got some serious electrical problems.
maybe your main relay crapped out, did you have any problems getting the car started before it finally wouldnt start at all.
check and make sure they connected the wires securely to the starter. there are 2 of them. as long as youre driving a 92 up prelude that starter will be 6 inches below the distributor and about 6 inches forward. just under the radiator hoses. it sits above the tranny and connects to the block about where you can see the engine code.... f22 h23 or h22

i didnt have any problems starting it i just lost speed going down the interstate and it wouldnt crank again, well i called the people and they said if is a wire then we wont replace the starter because its not the starters fault that it went bad

Wait so... your car shut off while you were driving and then wouldn't start back up? You've got other issues if that is the case

agreed, we are going to have to start back at the begining.... can you expand more on your symptoms. when it shut down was this the last time you changed the starter or the previous time?

So let me get this straight.

okay i recently bought a 92 lude s automatic with 194,000 everything stock for 1500
You bought a complete beater, probably on it's last leg, and in need of either a new motor or a rebuild. Instead, you replaced the starter, thinking that would magically cure any and all problems.
Sorry, kid. You got exactly what you paid for. Don't act like this happened to you because you were victimized by the evil Honda empire and their Prelude.
