Just installed them, changed oil, bout to go out for a test spin. When i cranked the car and stopped it, i could not believe how solid they felt.....now for their first time on the road.
Just got back from the test drive, two words to say: "HELL YEAH!"
From the start, cranking up the car, backing out of the driveway, the car felt solid, no jerks or anything you would usually feel from "dropping the clutch" without giving it gas. Smooth, very smooth. I turned right onto a main road, and got gas-happy. I threw it into second and barely peeled at all, third just grabbed and went, damn. You have heard you get "rattles" with this product, right? I will say this: as long as your rpms are above 1000, it is smooth, but as soon as it drops down to ~700 rpm (idle) it gets rought. That is the only thing. In summary, I LOVE THESE THINGS!!!!
yeah, no kidding. i thought you people were overexaggerating when you said all the stuff about them. I would highly suggest them if you......well, own a prelude!
oh, in the writeup it says for 5th gens to shave a little off the back mount for the bolt, and 4th gens dont have to. i ran into that problem the 5th gens have. i had to hold the mount up a little then put the bolts through the holes because the polyurethane does not compress AT ALL, then had a problem with the back passengers side bolt because a socket would not fit on there and open end wrenches were too long. i finally got it though. oh, and i did this at 1-2am, i reused the "broke" gasket for the TB, but i duct taped it to seal up the broke part, if i notice any difference (bad difference) i will invest in a new honda one - which i will probably do anyways.
like everyone says, the vibration is only noticeable when idleing.....and it is VERY noticeable stuff will probably rattle, my passenger seat vibrates enough so much their voice shakes....
