I'm thinking about getting their whole kit since I am having some handling issues... I wish someone would respond and let us know if they are good.

what are you trying to achieve with them? I have them in my lowered truck and they take a hell of a beating. You can see the clean spots on my frame and rear where they hit lol. Theyve been in there for like 60k miles or so. And yes if you do the whole kit you will feel a difference. I felt a difference with just doing sway bar end links alone.

i just installed the master kit on my 1992 si including all the shock bushings, it took me a couple of days but was astonished at the diffrence it made in the handeling i expected a little diffrence but not like what i got, my only beef with it is i got the red bushings insted of the black ones that have graphite impregnated in them so it sounds like a fat guy sitting on a plastic covered couch when i get in the car but hopefully they will break in and it will go away.

I want them for the following reason:

Hard cornering = bad shudder

Are the energy suspension brand better, worse, or about the same as prothane?

How do they do as far as lifespan goes?

I didn't even use any grease on the strut/spring bushings. I have the red as well.

how many people have a press and are doing these themselves?

For those of you who are, how difficult is it givin a press? I was considering buying one from harbor freight, they're around 80 bucks. I did the 5 lug conversion myself so I'm thinking I should be able to handle this.

Those of you who had a shop do it... how much was all the labor? I'm trying to get a good idea if this is worth having a shop do it or a weekend project that I can tackle?

I am interested in getting these for my project car. I have the motor mount inserts, but chose to take them out after a few years - they are great, but the idle is rough

i dont really understand, whats the purpose of them if they're gonna make the whole car shake like that? isn't the purpose to absorb the energy?

also, again, did you do them all yourself?

The purpose is to get rid of torsional twist, and reduce wear on the transaxle linkage etc.
It's not meant to make your ride more luxurious, but rather, much more sporty and stiff, but I'm sure a lot of vibration will go away with properly done cams with a large high cam/small low cam. I really like it to be honest.. it's a lot rougher, but I just need to damped my dashboard anyways, so i'll bear with it till then.

And yes, I did them myself.. not too bad.
Unbolt the 17mm throughbolt, then the (3) 14mm bolts holding it to the frame on the bottom, pop the mount housing out and press the inserts in..
The rear was a bit trickier and required some maneuvering.
Also, make sure to jack the engine up a little bit via the transmission so you can let the slack off the mounts.
In fact, Here's a writeup I found kinda helpful.
ES motor mount installation write-up
A little vague, but you'll get it when you look at the mounts.
