Energy Suspension

I've been looking at the Energy Suspension bushing upgrades. I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with them. I want to know difficulty of install( I assume I need a shop with a press) How nice they were when you ordered, did it include everybushing? Details please!

Oh yeah, do they squeak? Did they come with bushing lube?

if you're talking about the master set, yes it comes with essentially every bushing, and yes it comes with grease, and no they don't squeak. They are very worth it.

As for install, you only need the shop to press out the old bushings from the A-Arm joints (some people torch them out though). The rest you can do yourself.. not that bad.

The Master set does include most every bushing but not 100%. You need to purchase the engine mounts separately.

My experience installing them on my 10 year old car was PITA. My car is a daily driver in Chicago weather with 180k on the clock, so everything is rusted to the hilt. I do have a decent amount of tools and knowledge working on cars too. But I'm not an expert by any means. Some of my problems were just removing the bolts to get the suspension pieces off the car. Some were coreroded so bad that I had to cut them. The rust builds up between the bolt shaft and the id of the steel bushing. Heating them up with a torch would make it easier but I'm not that comfortable doing that in my garage with the car only on jack stand. A lift would allow a little more comfort room. Also pressing out the old metal sleeves is also a PITA. Again a torch would help otherwise a sawzall was used. My 12 ton press did not have enough force to press them out.

After about a year with them installed, there is no squeaking ... yet. But they do make more noise than stock rubber bushings. Plus the ride is a firmer but that is the whole reason for doing the upgrade.

If I were to doing it again, I would look into a shop doing it for me or at least having a buddy or two to help. If nothing else they could keep supplying me with beer as I curse.

The master kits also don't come with rear trailing arm bushings.

So its only the motor mount inserts and the rear trailing arm bushings that are missing?

So it's everything seen here?

What about using these?

damn... I was hoping those came in the pack. Do they have them seperatly? As for the Orijin Motorsports control arm bushings I was planning on using those. From what I've heard they are A+ quality!
