Energy motor mount inserts

I just bought a set of these today for less then $50, good price?

I really hope these get rid of my wheel hop problems.

How hard are these to put in? The back mount looks horrible to get to. The shop I go to quoted me $120 for the labor to install them and they do lots of work on Ludes and have a good knowlege of the car. I'm starting to lean towrds having them do it since they look to be a PITA to install, I can do it but I don't want to, maybe I should just do it myself. I'm just looking for some feedback on these.

Re: Energy motor mount inserts

well i got mine from summit for 32 bucks for a price reference. as far as installation goes, DONT pay someone. getting to that back mount will be a pain but they just stick in the sides of the mount. when i ordered them i thought that they would replace the stock rubber part, but they dont. they actually just fill in the spaces on the stock mounts. i have the mounts out of the engine right now but ill let you know how they do when the engine goes in..

No way would I pay someone $120 to install them. The rear really isn't that hard at all if you have the right tool. Check the other thread from about two days ago and I posted how I did it to make it easier. I just installed them last Thursday so if you need help, it's still fresh in my head.

I just replaced my rear mount, took me about 1 to 1.5 hours. The front one is much easier. basically, it all comes down to having the right tools. i also had to put a 2x4 under the oil pan and jack it up to get the rear mount back in. make sure you have a breaker bar and one of those flexible socket joints, plus a bunch of extensions. you might want to pick up a throttle body gasket too... i think i ruined mine because i had to pry the TB off with a screwdriver.

Yes, but they reduce hop dramatically.

Corey, this topic has been brought about 5 times in the last week! A search will help you.

I think to prevent more topics on these, there should be a write up made and stickied.

Why are you selling them??

To the person who asked for link, look at their direct website (Energy Suspension) or go to www.suspension.com or any other place for that matter. They're everywhere man, not hard to find.

It's when the wheels hop up and down, because they can't get traction.
