The invertor is a little box that sits behind the left tweeter cover. I think it powers the lighting of the gauges. It might hold the mileage too but I'm not sure about that.
Edit: This is a JDM cluster, so the invertor is on the other side, but it's the silver box on the right:

if anyone needs, i got a EL inverter with about 165K miles on it, a power inverter for the gauges, a scratched cover, the gauge face, and the little knob to reset the odo, all avail for sale.

sorry i mis formulated my sentence hehe it was early this morning. All the parts i listed are separate parts. I baught a EL cluster that was busted, so i took it apart, so whatever I listed is the stuff that can be re used...

No offense but if its not exactly your milage why does it matter, and the longer its not in your car the further off it gets, and as far as finding on in a junk yard goes, good luck cause most people that actually know what they need to install these things get the gauges AND the inverter, and it would run about 40 bucks if you can find one.
