Electrical and mechanical temp gauges do not fit

hey there, I have a 1992 lude Si. i need to replace the temp gauge cus my gauge cluster burned out. I have looked at every size bit that comes in the packages for the electrical and mechanical gauges. All the sizes do not work. I have tried to even go to ace hardware to find sizes that do not work. Anyone who has ran an aftermarket temp gauge on their 4th gen lude pls respond haha.

I am replacing the new fitting with the old temp gauge sensor right under the distributor. The small fittings that come with the gauges to help match the threads of the hole in the block. All the universal fittings are too big or small. Im guessing honda used a rare size? I cant find anything that fits the size of the stock temp gauge senser.

What gauges did you buy?

Honda uses BSPT fittings for probably everything on the engine. Most, if not all, aftermarket gauge senders have NPT fittings. What you probably need is an NPT -> BSPT adapter. I believe Autometer has several adapters in different sizes

I got a sunpro mechanical guage and i also tried a electrical guage that was a autometer. The autometer almost fit but was a little too small of a fitting....the next size fitting was not even close.
