Electrical Issues! HELP!

Electrical Issues...

While driving down the roads the other day I began to pass this Jeep and began slamming gears to make it past him. All of the sudden my dashboard went out. I pulled over thinking my battery had died or become disconnected. I noticed...

THINGS THAT WORKED
------------------------
Power locks, power mirrors, interior light, radio, high beam indicator light, guage lights, headlights, windshield wipers, caution/hazard lights

THINGS THAT DON'T WORK
-------------------------
power windows, tacometer, odometer, speedometer, clock, indicator lights, sunroof open/close, turn signals

I don't know if my cruise control button works or not because I can't really tell and haven't been able to drive due to rain...

After inspecting all of my fuses they all seem to be in fine order. However I noticed some old wiring falling out from under the dashboard from a previous owner attached to a relay from the clutch, accelerator pedal, and into the fuse box. There were random wires everywhere. After pulling the device that seemed to be connected to nothing else important it turned out to be larger than I thought. Apparently from a remote start or something of the sort. I can't figure it out but i will post pics later.

Maybe someone can help with this issue... By looking at all of the electrical schematics I can not seem for the life of me to find a common denominator among the problems.

This is very terrible because I live on campus and I don't have a personal garage to keep my car in and I can't roll up my windows or shut my sunroof. Rain doesn't help either.

After getting the opinion of a professional automotive electrician he had no clue.

2nd place I went to referred me to another guy that said it might be a bad ground since all of the fuses are getting power in the first place.

Now I just need to find G401 and G402 to confirm my suspicions.

I had similar problems with my crx. I attached a new ground wire to my transmission and to my valve cover. It solved all the problems. It sounds to me like your not getting a good enough ground. Easy thing to test out. How old is your car?

My car is a 1993 honda prelude with a rebuilt title... I've been using a continuity tester and a multimeter to check the electrical connections. From what I've noticed it is getting a mild amount of power to some of the yellow wires (just enough to BARELY light up the tester) then on other wires completely nothing.

When I put the motor in I redid all of the engine bay grounds and cleaned them up because I was having a problem getting the car to even start. And all of the dash grounds seem to be in order as well.

Im at a complete loss here and have no idea where to go. The entire dashboard is in my back seat. I can roll my windows up and down with a power wire attached to the battery or the cigarette lighter and it backfeeds into the sunroof switch as well. However, I am not getting power to my turn signals or dashboard. I only use that as a temporary fix to get some air in the car since I don't have A/C.

Maybe I will just run it into a wall and everything will be okay.

Im at a loss.

I'm pretty sure you problems are beyond me. The only thing I could think of would be some kind of corrosion or water in the wireing/fusebox. The only reason I say that is because the problems don't have anything in common with one another.
Was the salvage title due to flood?

I'd probably try taking it off some curbs for a jarring effect before I ran it into the wall...lol good luck!
