EL gauge Conversion question...

Ok, so installing my EL dash harness for my EL gauges, I noticed something. I have 2 plugs left over, 1 I know is supposed to be left over, and I am supposed to ground the blk wire, but I do not know where this big plug goes. It is a big plug, grey in color, and only 4 wires leading to it. I called my friend who has both a 92 lude S model and a 92 Si in which he did the EL conversion, and he looked under his dash on his S model, and said it had 1 less plug than his Si...

so I ask you, what is this for?

Car is a 92 S model...

here is all that I have gotten from my helms manual which is for a 93 vtec, if anyone has a helms or a wiring diagram for a 92 S model, please post it, or just post a pic of the 92 S dash harness?

well...here is what helms shows...you see there are only 2 plugs on the right side under the dash. that is because my helms is for a 93 vtec, before they had EL gauges

Im not sure which plug is which, both are in the same location...

plug C620 says it has 20 cavities and that it is part of the main wire harness(C404)
plug C621 says it has 16 cavities and that it is part of right side wire harness(C503)

so I think its the 16 cavity plug Im not sure about, but helms just says it goes to the dash harness, doesn't say anything about what it controls. someone please help!

This plug is on the right side, correct? And you have another larger one that's plugged in already, correct? Did you already ground the black wire coming off of the smaller plug on the right for the turn signals? What year and model did your gauges come out of?

not sure which year model the gauges came out of. I bought them from a guy on HT.

there are 3 plugs,

a 20 pin connector
a 16 pin connector
a 3 pin connector

the 20 pin is already plugged in

the 16 pin is just sitting

the 3 connector is grounded.

here is a pic of one from a 92 Si notice the gree plug, my 92 S doesnt have it, but the 92 Si does...

On my 1993 Si, that green plug is a grey plug. Do the gauges work fine without the plug?

Those wires may be unneeded in your car. The pink wire goes to the 4ws control unit, the 2 GRN/RED wires go to the parking brake switch and brake fluid level switch and the BLU/RED goes to the ABS control unit.

nice, where did you find this info? I have come up blank on everthing so far.

A guy on HT says the plug was just hangin on his 92 Si, and said everything seems to be working fine

Got them from the wire diagram, those wires are the same between the EL and nonEL clusters.
