I just finished my swap and was installing the jdm p13 ecu when i noticed that the plugs on the ecu are different....is it supposed to be like that? and...is my ECU an automatic ECU? the serial on it is :
37820-P13-J50
556 J-AT <---- is that Automatic? my ecu has something
similar but it says MT.....
what would happen if i ran my car with my USDM H23A ECU until i got a new ecu?
My JDM h22 came with an automatic ecu, a friend of mine converted it to a manual ecu. Only took him about an hour, he also installed a spoon chip. You can run the car with your p14, but the fuel/ignition more than likely differs from the p13 ecu, so I would not run the car hard, wouldn't want to break anything. There are obd-1 p13 ecu's on eBay all the time, may want to check there. You could probably sell your AT p13 on ebay to help pay for the new one... just a thought.
