Well, for the P13 vs. P14 look at the sticker on the unit. It will be something like 5 numbers-P13 or P14-more numbers. As for JDM you have to go inside the unit. I am not 100% sure what to look for, try a search, it has come up before.

It should have a sticker on the side that goes.... 37820-xxx-J00

Whatever is where the x's are is what ECU it is.

Here is how to tell if its JDM or not.

Easiest way to tell if it JDM.

Get the part number off the side, call your local Honda dealership, ask for the parts dept. Tell them you have an ECU and you need to see what car its from. Give the the part number to lookup in the computer. If they come up with an answer, its USDM, if they cant find it, its JDM.

Oh and the 2W and 4W are not for the 4WS system. Trust me.

^^

What are they for then? I think they are indirectly for the 4WS. The 4th plug on the 4W ECUs is for the TCS from what I understand, and all of the 4WS models had TCS??

Im not sure, but here is what I know.

My USDM P14 had 4W on the side.
My JDM P13 has 2W on the side.
My Car has 4WS.
My Car does not have TCS.
My 4WS works just fone after the swap.
My Helms does not show ANY connection between the 4WS computer in the trunk and the ECU.
My JDM ECU does not have any extra connectors.

Maybe we can get UKVtec to roll back is carpet and look at the connectors on his ECU. He has 4WS and VTEC but no TCS AFAIK.
