Ecu problems!!!

ok, i have a 1992 honda prelude with a (1995) H22a vtech and a type R tranny. i noticed that someone broke into my car awhile back but nothing was stolen (weird i know) but ever since then my car has been running like crap. I just noticed that someone switched my ecu with a different one. I have a skunk ECU that was tuned with my vtech controller and my car. What do i do? lol I think its a prelude ecu that they put in my car but its stock

So, you are saying someone broke into your car and swapped your ecu? WTF?

And it's vtec. Not vtech, v-tec, v-tech, or any other form. Just VTEC.

yeah bro, it was switched out. i didnt notice it until now when i was cleaning out my car i noticed my ecu was moving, i lifted up my carpet and it was bolted down...then i noticed that it wasnt the same one that i had! and the guy that ordered and installed the tranny said he got me a type r tranny...the shop is independant honda. i had them swap both the engine and tranny. Anyways, ive noticed that my car hasnt been running right and i think thats why? my old ecu was tuned with my car and my apexi VTEC computer thats on the dash of my car...to top it off...someone stole my antenna a couple of weeks ago...i guess someone is building a prelude from the parts they are stealing from my car lol

The shop or guy that installed the parts for you is full of ****. I found one of your old posts and you said that "M2F4" appears on the transmission. That's a USDM H22 transmission. Nothing special.

Also, tuning with a VAFC is crap. Its not "real" tuning as you're not changing anything on the ECU. Based on what they told you about the transmission, I'm going to go out on a limb and guess you never even had a Skunk2 ECU. Hell I'm not even sure if they made P13 ECUs... or any ECUs at all. Maybe someone else can chime in on this

Can you define 'running like crap'? Is the CEL on?

Would have been nice to mention that in the initial post.

Here's how to pull the code: How To Diagnose Engine Error Codes For Your Honda Prelude

Let us know what code it returns

besides, the V-AFC runs onto the harness ofthe ecu, not the ecu itself...therefore it should run the exact same....unless its not a P13.

43 = fuel supply system
22 = VTEC pressure switch

62 seems to be something with the 4WS motor

And your ECU could work with your engine... however, who knows what fuel map is on there. It probably has whatever map originally came on those and the VAFC was just used as a band aid. I think there's also a few things the P28s don't do, I think the knock sensor is one of them.

so my best bet would
be to get a P13 ECU? do you think them codes are because of the ecu or do i have to replace the vtec pressure switch (i dont even know what that is lol)
