ECT Sensor CEL

I'm not sure what to do on this one.....

After installing new a clutch/flywheel and putting trans and everything back together I get a CEL. The code says it's the ECT Sensor. The car is running perfectly fine and seems completely normal besides the fact that the CEL is on.

According to what I've read and what others have been telling me the car should be idling somewhat rough and sputtering every now and then if the ECT indeed is bad.

I topped off the coolant and checked all other connections according to the HELMS manual. I even checked the resistance on the sensor and everything comes back ok.....I'm also still getting about 27 mpg.

It's a 96 H23a1 5-speed. I've also got a tuned AFC on the car. Can anyone please help me figure this out or any other possible issues it could be? I hate to have something go very wrong just because I neglected the little light.

Just replace the sensor there pretty cheap. If its not the sensor the wiring might be messed up some where from either pulling the trans or when you put it back in.

Also make sure that all connections are properly connected.

I've changed the ECT sensor and also the coolant temperature sensor and I've still got the CEL.

If I reset the ECU the cel will go away. About 20 seconds or so after starting the engine the cel will come on again.

According to the Helms manual it says to check connections C425 and C426 for any bad connectors or loose wires. It says it's near the right shock tower but I'm unsure exactly which connectors they are. From what I can see they're all properly connected. Can anyone here help guide me to a possible solution? Please let me know.
