ebrake question

Does anyone know how to get the chrome knob out of the hand brake assembly?? The chrome on mine is all cracked and peeled off and it looks damn ghetto.

you could paint it if you wanted to. i'm not a big fan of the bling so i wouldnt mind losing the chromed out button. i'd imagine all you'd have to do (once you get the damn thing out. which no one apparently knows how to do.) is just get all the chrome crap off, clean it, maybe sand it a bit, lay down a primer, spray with color and then some kind of clear coat. i'd actually like to do that. i think a high gloss black button would look sweet.

Yea theres a chance of it looking like **** later on. If you put like 10 coats of clear coat on it might not be so bad. Besides, if you mess up, a new button is like $4 from Majestic Honda.

It unscrews... that's all there is to it. I replaced mine, but you have to be careful not to marr it up when you screw it back in.

Oh sweet, a luder in the area! I live just outside of Roanoke, in Fincastle.. I'm always in Roanoke though... sometimes on williamson, sometimes at fast freddy's, although I just got my prelude a month and a half ago and its undergoing a makeover right now, so i dont drive it much.. not to mention reverse just went out lol..

Well thats cool. I just bought my Prelude last month as well. I dont really do the whole cruising Willie thing or the Fast Freddys car show. I'm basically just keeping the car stock for right now. I might tinker around with it after I've gotten it paid off. But hey, if you ever see a metallic navy colored Si rolling around Roanoke flag me down. I doubt I'll hear you though since I just got my speakers put in and I blast that ****.

Thanks trident. I guess I'm just not turning it hard enough. I think I'm probably gonna have to get a towel and pair of pliers cause I dont think I can get that **** out by hand.

No, no page yet. I'm still too lazy to hook up my camera to take a picture of my stock car yet. I should probably do that for the friends that I have that dont live near me and want to see what my car looks like.

No, you can't get it out by hand. You will need a pair of pliers. I would suggest one of those rubber things that people use to open jars instead of a towel.
