Ebrake light stays on, help

My ebrake light comes on during moderate to hard acceleration and mild to hard turns. I have held the ebrake itself down while accelerating and turning and the light still come on. It goes away when my acceleration slows or when i come out of the turn. Any ideas on how to make this stop?

Check your brake fluid. I bet that is the problem. Top it off.

top of the break fluild for sure. Might as well check the clucth too if u have a stick shift. I had the same problem, but my fluid level was just play low, bout to dry out. so that fixed it.

^that wouldn't do anything since it's not the ebrake switch that's causing the light to come on.

how do you know though? the ebrake switch turns on when the circuit is completed, therefore, couldn't harsher movements cause the switch to move? i mean you guys are probably right, i was just saying if all else fails.

whaaaaaat? the ebake light only comes on when you pull it up and the switch is activated, how does brake fluid effect anything related to the parking brake?

"I have held the ebrake itself down while accelerating and turning and the light still come on."

That pretty much rules out the ebrake switch. 99.9% of the time when the brake light comes on while accelerating or turning it's the fluid.

Have you checked it yet? Takes like...30 seconds, pop hood, look at brake res. If you can't see through the plastic, pop the top off.

im with you, take your councel apart and see if the switch is sticking or the wire is loose.

The switch grounds when closed so maybe a loose connection.

Everyone needs to take a 'once over' of the Helms and learn a thing or two about what causes what to happen.

Don't you think that when there's this many people Certain that it's the brake fluid being low.. that there might be a reason behind it?

How do you think that fluid is getting low else you have a SMALL leak in one of your lines? Brake wear right? And if it was enough to make the light on I'm betting it won't be long until you get the screech sound as you stop, thus meaning new pads needed.
