for $35 I dont see how you can go wrong lol. Theyre so much cheaper then like AEM intakes and **** I dont know why people put the money out for name brand stuff like that. Only reason I can think of is filter quality but Ive had 2 ebay filter's and I couldnt tell a difference between them and my k&n's aside from color.
Just get a better filter to put on it and it should work great.
+1. I put a K&N cone filter for like 35 bucks from autozone. They've been tested and are "good" quality, compared to others like HKS and AEM. Sound is deep and like most cone filters, it spools a little.
I've had mine for like 9 months and it's still just about the same red shade. I'll probably use the recharge kit that the filter came with before this winter hits, to make it good as new.
+2
I've been rocking an ebay intake for almost 3 years, still holding up great. I would def say get a better filter, the ebay one is ok temporarily but def get a new one of better quality. My vote is for a dry flow filter, oiled filters are yesterdays product, there are dryflow ones now that filter better and have no change of messing up your MAF sensor from the oils on the filter

There are sometimes fitment issues. Also, with car parts, I tend to not side on the cheap stuff because its not that expensive. Plus the better parts hold their value so getting rid of them is easier than these non-name items.

I think I got a short ram intake from Ebay for like $20 to replace an old polished one I had. However, when I put the stock intake on the car felt faster . I think it was because I put on the stock 15" rims after I sold the 17" aftermarket ones.
Now dont knock off ebay dealer's products just because they use the same means of marketing as some f-ed up assholes who are just selling crud to unsuspecting, honest ppl like ourselves. Some brands are honest attempts to make money buy selling ok and decent quality products.
Bomz intakes generally have close to 85-95 percent good fitment. you may have to saw off a bit of the piping where the filter connects so as to fit it in the engine bay, but they work just as well as any AEM/K&N/Injen you would get off of.... say, Andy's Auto Sport.
Just purchase an excellent filter from Fujita or AEM and youll be fine. Also, their means of securing the intake tubing arent always accurate, so be prepared to fabricate or modify the existing extension, or whatever they are using. In the end, you really are only paying for the piping... but its good aluminum and wont break. not unless you run it over or do something stupid.
Personally i like the X3Racing/Xtune brand. They have good quality, good Comm, and quick shipping. its what I got. Mine works great too. More high end... about the same low end though. And a LOT louder. Hehe.
It looks really nice... but if you look carefully, you will see that there is only one clamp. You need two, or three. I have no clue how that thing uses those aluminum... plates, i guess, to hold it steady and minimize vibrations.
Personally, I wouldnt. But you can, and then go to autozone and purchase some decent Sceptre stuff. Their Sceptre Filters (The Red, 3" ones) are damn near the quality of Fujita and AEM. Just buy some clamps there, they only cost a dollar or two. Also, dont forget that you can get a better kit, and then paint it whatever color you want. I wrinkle coated mine, so it looks kind of like a knock-off K&N w/ an Apexi Filter.
Unless someone's personally bought one from ebay and knows for a fact the fitment is decent or at least doable, you won't know unless you buy it dude.
your car's color is red? I'm not digging the red piping, but I guess if it's on a red lude it might look alright. I would personally get a silver or black one since my whole engine bay is red. I'm not a huge fan of multi colored engine bays with rainbow colored engine parts, to each their own though.
Read the rules, no ebay links allowed. Also, don't post up asking people what they think of every other item/ad that you see. PMs and IMs are there for a reason. Use them.
