ebay HID kit, wiring question

94 w/ swapped h22 usdm

Well, I'm going to start off first by saying, I wired it all correctly and had BOTH headlights working with the one piece headlight/hid kit from ebay for a few weeks now.

Today, the passenger light decided it wasn't going to work. The ballast wasn't whining, so I figured it may have sht the bed. But I hardly doubt it, considering they're still fairly new.

I swapped ballasts to see if it was a wiring issue, and when I took the working ballast and hooked it to the other headlight, it worked, but the other still didn't. The wiring harness with the HID attached, has a piece that connects to the old white clip that held the stock bulb. Then that line, traced back, has a new black clip, that plugs into the ballast. Like it said, plug and play. BUT, if I DO it that way, the ballast doesn't get power, but if I plug the stock clip directly into the ballast instead of using the new one, it works, whatever I guess.

I flicked the lights on and off, and after a few second the one that DID stay lit, turned off. So I turned the headlight switch off and on again, and the light came on and stayed on. wtf? I think it may be because, the stock bulb clip doesn't fit into the ballast like it should.

To get this straight, driving lights are outside and high beams are inside, correct? My lights are hooked up that way, so I'm just double checking.

I'm going to play with them a little bit more, if anyone has had a similar problem, any insight would be helpful. Thanks.

EDIT: I took out both ballasts and the kit, and just put the stock back in. I'm going to be lazy first and see if the company will just exchange my *bad* ballast for a new one. Then I guess I'll go from there.
