I think the fact that they call it a racing cat means it's in all likeliness a poorly resonated straight pipe, if it's even resonated very much at all. I think 20 bucks + shipping will get you a horrible exhaust note, the loss of respect from your buddies and maybe a ticket Pass.

I have one of those on my car an OBX and it has developed a hole in one of the welds so by all means don't waste your time or money.

I got one...and it is just a resonated test pipe. I have no complaints. Might have made my exhaust slightly louder, but didn't notice much of a difference either way.

I bought a replacement Cat from www.testpipes.com

It was an actual catalytic converter though, $99 shipped.

I was able to pass smog here in Ca no problems with it...

Car Sound or Caribou Imports - U can search for both at google and find them easily - 150 bucks but high flow and legal. I got the caribou because of better service and it sounds and feels great!

resonated test pipe, got one in, they sent the wrong one so they are shipping me the right one..

it was actually nice quality.. very nice flanges/welds and stainless steel.. it uses nice perforated tubing, not grated.. it is resonated..

i had one on my 5g.... it made the exhaust a tad louder, but the performance i saw from it was good. I think my originaly cat was clogged, so opening up the system gave it some extra unf.

I didn't have a single problem with mine, and ran it for about 6mo

I just installed a Random Technologies cat and the quality is top notch! I got it with 2.25 inlet and outlet for 229 plus shipping. They are the best on the market. I also just passed smog with ease.
