If i were u i wouildnt buy my carbon fiber hood off ebay. I bought my CF hood at the local performace shop and they put it on, its a
VIS racing hood, this way i know for sure it was going to fit. But we are two different people, so if u want to risk it to try to save some money, noone is stopping you.
i got mine at www.bodykitsnw.com
it took a while to ship but it was worth it, because it rocks! i am really happy with it, its an OEM style one btw.
marsh
I'm happy w/ mine, its a namebrand one though, it fits pretty damned well, really light.. but like the others said, you get what you pay for.. so i'd suggest VIS
you should look up other auctions that have sold the same hood, write down the emails of people who've bid on them and won and write them to see what they say about them. Ebay can be scary sometimes, but sometimes it can save you some bucks.
i ordered one and should be getting one soon. (like the end of this week or beggining of next week) il let you guys know about quality and finish. got it for 400 shipped...
One of the things i noticed, i have a friend who got one for his fifth gen, the difference is in quality, and it is noticeable,, the ends of the hood are split, like they just carlessly cut the material on the ends,, the weave is like split apart,,, i think thats the kind've stuff they sell on ebay, looks pretty poor to me, here's a pic of mine... too bad i crashed, my bumper has gaps, and my fender is damaged :-/, oh yea and the grills.. bahh, all will get fixed in time.
do not buy from him!
hood is garbage. fitrs horrible and has the slowest shipping know to man. im curently in a dispute with the seller trying to get my money back....he says that there are no refunds!!!!!!!!! i dont know hut to do.....
my advice, buy locally were you can see the hood before you buy...
