E-brake boot replacement

I'd like to replace the e-brake boot and need to remove center console (the one between two seats). I found one screw each near seat belt latch, but a regular screw driver will not work because there is verh little room for access. I have a '92 Si and would like to know how I can take the center console out without removing the seats.

TIA.

I somehow managed to get a regular screw driver to work in there with the seats all the way pushed up. I had a really hard time getting the screws back in though.

^^^ Did the whole console come out just by removing those two screws?

or you can take out the seats, wont take more than 15 mins to take both out and put them back in.

Edit: nm, you said you dont want to remove the seats.

I'm assuming you have the 92 long console, so I don't know how many screws there are. In my 93, there are maybe 8 screws that need to be taken out to get the console out.

edit: I think those are the only two on that part of the console, but I think you gotta take the shifter console out too to get the ebrake part off.

^^^ Yes, mine has a long console. I've already had the shifter console and stereo out since I installed 4bidden short shifter last week.

Ok, I just saw a pic of the long console on ebay. It looks like you have to pull out both of the bottoms of the rear seats (pull two clips under each seat and they'll come out). It looks like there are four more screws that you might have to get out that are under the seats.

i just used a rachet and put a screw driver attachment on it, i dont know if u have one of those, but that will work.

p.s. the seats only have 4 bolts, it takes about 5 min to take them out, it will save u time since ur wasting time trying to get it with a screwdriver

I found the 90 degree screw driver and was able to take those two screws out by pusghing both driver and passenger seats farthest forward. I did have to remove the rear seats and seat back on the driver side.

Thanks all for the help.
