There has been much debate around PO on this exact topic. If you want, try searching it. Some people say it's too loud, some people LOVE it. It's subjective to what you think is loud. Some cops care, some don't ... very subjective issue.

NO!

The bolt pattern on the catalytic is different. It will not fit.

this is from first hand experince, I have a brand new, never used RS*R catbcak sitting in my garage collecting dust because its for a VTEC and I have an Si cat.

But then again, I have a 93, so the 96 model year might be different, but I doubt it.

the Dunk is pretty good. my friend has it on his 95.

But Absolut is right...vtec exhaust wont fit on Si. Unless you modifiy it. You can modify the flanges where it bolts onto the cat.

I don't have first-hand knowledge about this, but, can't you just take your RS-R to a muffler shop and have them cut and weld it on? The hangers should be similar in placement, if not exact, to what they'd be on an Si exhaust, right? Give it a whirl... I would NOT let an RS-R collect dust.
