F and H are interchangeable so yes, you can use your existing transmission but it has tall gears and tall gear transmissions suck for acceleration, only good for sipping gas. Your car is OBD1 btw, the plug is blue, 2 pin and behind the radio. It may still be in it's original place fastened to the metal supporting the radio which means you'll need to remove the plastic around the shift lever to get to it, after that you can just leave it laying on the carpet so you can easily reach behind the center console on the floor instead of taking apart the center console to get to it.
