Door opened reminder

Hi, I have this little annoying problem. It seems that when I turn off my car and pull my key from the ignition, with the door open, that beeping door sound still goes on. I tried taking if off slowly and sometimes it stops. Is there something wrong with my ignition? It's supposed to go off right? Does anybody else's prelude do that? Any help is appreciated.

the sound stops if you hit the bottom of your steering wheel... not the part you hold onto, but the main part. Thats what I do and it works everytime.

Thanks! I'll try it out. Any ideas to what causes it?

sounds more like a mechanical thing....if it were a fuse it would be on all the time or it wouldnt work at all.

Mine doesn't do that, but then again I disabled that stupid thing. It had to have been my most worthwhile mod.

sounds like a sticky switch in your ignition. not the start/accesory, but the one for the key. i think it's connected to that slot cover where you stick the key in. my Escort (stupid escorts...) used to do the same thing, and i'd just tap it. maybe you can figure something out to permanently fix it.

i had that problem

just spray some white lithium grease inside where the key goes and put the key in a few times and it will take care of that.
