So im going outside to my car today and when i got crap in my arms, i usually go to the passenger's side first to dump off the stuff then walk around to the drivers side. On my car (not sure about others), when you unlock to passenger's side door, it unlocks the drivers side as well.
so i go over to the passenger's side, stick in my key, and get it half way in...and i hear a click (the click it makes when my doors are unlocking)...hrm, the key wasn't even all the way in, let alone turned but it still clicked..so i pull out the key and the door is unlocked and can be opened...wtf? so i decide to do a test, stick about an 1/8" of the key in and just turn it, forcing it. Its not turning anywhere...but they doors click again. Another test, i stick in the key to my front door (its skinny enough and fits in)...i put it in, turn it...doesn't turn anywhere but the doors still unlock.
Funny, my car got robbed last year of my stereo and the guys didn't break anything to get in...how did they do it??? i think i just answered my own question..
dunno what to say, I've never had that problem (94). My only gripe is mine was a year or two early to have the option where you hold your key in the unlock position on the driver's side door and the pas. side unlocks as well (my stepdad's 95 accord does that). You may wanna get your lock cylinders replaced, or at least checked out.
it cant be a feature. thats just retarded. that means anyone can go in your car and i think honda would realize that. there must be something wrong with your locks. get the car checked out or just cut that wire u were talking about i guess. i cant see that as being a option tho.
I'm not sure I'm following you anymore... on my car when I unlock the passenger side door it unlocks the driver side too. But I do have to put in the key fully in the lock and turn to unlock it, it won't just unlock automagically by touching the lock...
I had a bad ground and when I shook the passenger side door it would unlock my doors. soo i can definitely see that as being a possibility to your problem.
however i dont think i ever resolved it because my handles are shaved and i never lock my doors anyways, i just snipped the black wire and was done with it.
mine kinda came out of nowhere too. hadnt done anything new to my car for about a year. one day my locks just started clicking.

Hey Izeyah, maybe this is a stupid question but how the hell do you open your doors? Nice sig pic by the way! I like the rims and the car looks real clean! It looks tight as hell without the door handles.
he has a clicker device, that when he presses on it, the door kinda pops open a little so you can open the door. so you woulld need the clicker to open the door. if you dont have the clicker, then i guess your stuck. what if you loose the clicker or it breaks and your out in the middle of nowhere? what do you do?
my car alarm has extra buttons on the control used for misc type stuff
i wired the alarm to a solenoid in the door that pulls when a 12 volt signal is applied to it
but if my clicker breaks i'm basically out of luck.....actually no, i have a switch in the trunk, i open the trunk, flip the switch and i'm in
the only real problem i have yet to work out, because i'm lazy, is what if the battery dies??? it actually happened and i had to use a hanger coming in from the trunk to open the passenger door. anyways, i need to find a battery source i can mount in the trunk i guess.
